I don't know how many posts it will take to get this message across but...

HID bulbs operate at a COOLER temperature than halogen bulbs!

That is, if a regular halogen bulb works... an HID bulb will work just fine, in fact HID bulbs are less likely to melt a housing (i.e. discussion of retrofitting HID bulbs into the stock roadlamps (which would be useless))

What bulb comes with these fog lights? Is it an H11? If it turns out that it is an H3 bulb and you'd like to retrofit with HIDs, be sure to order an H3C HID kit or the bulb will be too long and the focal point will be too far off to be productive.

I completely agree. I'm afraid of what the glare is going to be like. I did find these though, which would solve that problem.

this is a horrible solution to try to get this mod to work. its not only just a lot of cutting, but the results are just horrible.

cross eyed fogs? what's the point? lights are functional not just for aesthetics... if u're going to do this mod, at least do it right

F'n right! let me know when you get them in and we can beat them into submission.

lippstuh-
that is one problem i saw with these...people think it is easy to just cut them and have them fit. the OP posted some dark ass pics that really showed nothing of the fit.

Got mine in the mail the other day. Got them off ebay for $50 shipped. Not a bad little kit. Comes with a wiring harness and switch. They will need to be cut alot to fit the cl though. I think I will just put them on the gf's 03 accord.

do you think people sit around all day waiting for their fogs to arrive in the mail so they can put pictures up for you?

he meant he wants to see them installed or the process of install...

can't always depend on people. i still hate this thread because it makes a lot of members buy them and the results are not what they expected.

but i'll quit my "hating" as some members might think... good luck everyone

i didn't buy them but here's how i would do it, and it makes sense.

1. remove bumper and fog light inserts
2. take the left insert, and put it against your right fog shroud (might want to take off the actual fog).
3. cut out the back portion of the insert. about middle line, its up to you
4. trace it and dremel it off, be careful not to cut too much. patience is key. also make sure it will light up even (the cut off). sand it down to fit inside the inserts
5. now do the other one
6. epoxy it into the 03 inserts right on right, left on left. might require repaint. if so buy matte black and nongloss clear coat. make sure its not tilted left/right up/down.
7. mount it all back up and wire it

my reasoning is to fit the new fogs into the inserts so its easier to mount. before epoxy, do wire it and test the angle so its correct. then epoxy. and try to make it flush with the top of the inserts bondo might be neccessary if you want it to look real clean.

good luck, again i don't have these and don't plan to get them. your results will be cross eyed

HAHA. /\

After seeing how many people got these and have not installed them yet or are not going to, i think i would rather do without. Even though I'm creative with a dremel it just doesn't sound worth it to hack up some fog lights for them to possibly not even function properly. I do hope that someone else here gets them in and looking decent and can vouch for them serving a purpose other than looking pretty cool. Good luck guys, sticking with my inserts...

I think if you made them for the CL, you'd have a ton of orders. Apparently, judging by the cost, they're not very expensive to produce.

O.k., I'm new here and new to the whole car makeover but I need some serious help with being pointed in the right direction with my 2002 3.2 CL. It is Champaigne with stock everything and I figure for my personal satisfaction I work from the outside in.
Can you all point me out in the right direction. I think I want to start with the fog lights, in my search there is nothing that can be done about the headlights and tail lights unless there is something you all know that I don't know
