Hey people put Type R emblems on Accords and Civics all the time
This past week i've seen:

A Ford Mustang GT-R
A Chevy Malibu GT-R
A Toyota Tercel DOHC-VTEC
A mid-90s Ford Taurus with Type R badging
Scores of Accord and Civic Type-R's

Those emblems MUST add at LEAST 25 hp. Minimum!

But mine was JDM

Hey man it goes with the CL.

Better than those fags who put Type R seat covers on their Cavaliers.

Gotta agree with the masses. Why not put a Ford emblem and the Explorer lettering on your car?

I saw an //AMG badge on the back of an Infiniti J30 once. This is nothing compared to that. If YOU like it then thats all that matters.

my name is nismo because I had a 300zx before. This was before I bought my CL and i was reading up on posts here looking into getting the CL.

I think it looks way better than the acura emblem and then beneath that having the words A C U R A
and then to the right top corner saying 3.2 CL or 3.2 CL Type S

At least I didn't put a Honda Emblem on it. We all pay extra $$$ because its an acura and then put honda emblems on it, now that is gay.

to be honest not really

the CL's and TL's are like the same thing, just coupe and 4 door, same design same car.

So why can a TL be called an inspire and not a CL?!

The only difference in C L and T L
they are both still 3.2 just one has a C for Coupe I guess and the other has a T.

Thats my point though.
Well I'm not the only one with it. Seems to be a few CL's out there with it.

IF THE MADE A CL IN JAPAN IT WOULD BE CALLED AN INSPIRE AS WELL.

It's like a g35 Coupe and a G35 Sedan
So it would be ok to put skyline decals on the sedan but not the G35 Coupe?!

Yea they are pretty much the same but they aren't and the CLS isn't available in Japan so to put the inspire kit on it is trying to make it something it isn't. The entire purpose of the JDM kit for the TL is because it is actually available in Japan.
You are attempting to make that car something that it isn't. You want a JDM look for the CLS when a JDM look doesn't exist.

imo you are ignorant. putting the inspire emblem on the cl is just as bad as putting a vtec sticker on a cavalier.

but hey, like its been said before... different strokes for different folks.

That's not even the real concern. The point is that those cars with the inappropriate badges are gay-ass ricer cars. The fact that he brought those POS cars up to use for comparison with his CL really worries me.

so it would be gay and ricer for me to mold a JDM TL factory kit onto my CL is that right?
Because there is no factory kit available for the CL
and so if I take a TL kit like some people have on this forum, who spent a lot of money for fabricating to make it fit on their CL
it would be super rice right?
yeah ok

It's not exactly a JDM kit, since it's available in the U.S., too. Strictly speaking, it's still USDM.

The badging... the fact remains straight and simple; your car is not a JDM Inspire, despite the sharing of chassis, engine, etc.

As for the body kit, hey, it's a body kit. Get whatever you want, mold it in, it's up to you.

The bottom line is that the badging dictates the identity of the car. Body kits don't.

Yep

And anyway, like I said before 95% of America wouldn't have a clue what the Inspire is anyway...they don't know it's the JDM TL. The general masses had no idea what the Silvia was until recently (and even then, only those in the market know). I see people putting Silvia emblems all the time on the 240 hatchback. And yet, there never WAS a silvia hatchback, it's called the 180sx in Japan. And the funny thing is, it's seems to be accepted as okay. My 240sx is a hatch, a 180sx. You won't find a silvia emblem (or for that matter a 180sx emblem) on it anywhere.

So anyway, go ahead, put it on. If it looks nice to you, go for it. I'm sure most people won't even realize it's the wrong emblem. I bet other members on the board are about seconds from ordering one for their CL's if it looks good!

My

It took me a while to think it over and accept that some moron would actually did that.
He wanted to make Infinity looking more like Italian car - Pininfarina design ??
