anyone know what those ram r/t 5.8's do in the quarter?
i ran one from 30-80mph had 1 car length on him.
we were both in the left had turn lane. i was behind him. when the light turned green we both just cruised around the corner. he took the inside lane i took the outside. when he was straightened
he punched it. i was in 2nd gear doing 30mph i said what the hell jumped on it but he had already got the jump on me. i couldn't pull him til 5000 rpm and by rev-limiter in 2nd his front bumper was at my door.
by 80mph i shut down not knowing if one car length was good or bad....

forgot to ask him if that thang had a hemi.........

 

if it was a hemi then it runs 14.9 but they didnt put a hemi in the rt ram that was the older body style ram IT WASNT A RT IT WAS LIKE A S/RT SOMETHING LIKE THAT and i think they ran about the same as the hemi not 100 percent sure NOT A BIG MOPAR FAN

maybe it was a new pre-owned vehicle, for sure it said R/T on the tailgate. it was bright yellow w/extra cab fender flares and huge meats at all four corners. it had nice torque as soon as he punched it, i thought he was gonna bust a cookie.....

 

Could it have been a Dakota 5.9L R/T? I know you said ram but the dakota looks like a smaller ram with the R/T badging.

 

they did make a special ram series truck before the new body style and the hemi I THINK IT WAS THE SS/T AS FAR AS I KNOW

u can definetely tell the diff in a ram and a dakota

 

my bad, you're right it was the smaller one ( dakota r/t ).
not really up on my dodge trucks these days.

 

I saw a new SRT-10 today



The Dakota r/t's run 15.7-16.1 in stock form. My buddy and his brother each had one and they were suprisingly slow as fuck

 

I didnt know that hemi rams ran 14.9. We saw one at the track put down 15.5. If they run that quick, I wnt one damnit.
