First non Comptech, non OEM clutch I've heard of.

Considering they say it's for use on the 2002 and 2003 vehicles, I'd take fitment with a grain of salt. Who'll be the first to try?????

Pass......

Spec Stage 3's are known for annoying clutch chatter and overly harsh engagement. Mustang guys tend to break stuff with the Stage 3's because there is no "give" to them, and the clutch really shocks the drivetrain on hard launches. They do hold up to high hp great though.

And $500 for a godamn clutch???!! My Mustang's clutch is rated for 500hp or something like that and cost $300.

wow, if that is what it says, and fits, that's an answer to a prayer. chatter or not. I'll have to look into that. I do wonder if it is for real, the fitment that is. it it does fit, it's the first aftermarket clutch package i've ever seen for the 03 6 speed.

way cool. it also looks like they have more than one stage of clutchs for our car. sometimes though, manufacturers advertise a product without having it built, this is to see what the demand will be, but this sale leads me to beleive that it is made. a classic example of this was the stand alone ignition from aem, they never made it and some online venders are still advertising it.

i'm looking into this asap, and if the product is avail,i will order it monday.

No, haven't purchased it, jury's still out on that one. I did however speak with a Spec Clutch representitive about their product. blah blah blah. At any rate, I requested a picture of one through a Spec dealer whom I've bought some parts from. I got a message from the dealer on friday saying he lost my email address, so i have to call him on monday and leave my email address to see the pictures of the pressure plate. It was late on friday when i got the message.

I will link the photo when I get it on monday for everyone to see.

On a side note, I sent a new pressure plate and disk to unorthodox racing for them to finger fuck and see if something can be (a) made (b) improved upon (c) sorry, no dice) I'm actually expecting the latter to be true since this is the second clutch company i've sent this basturd to. The problem is the pressure plate. It is a self adjusting unit and looks like the diaphram is made up of 3 dozen spider legs plopped together. It's ugly, so spec clutch may be the only alternative if their product is an improvement over the stock unit.

I told them about this site and to contact the mods to boost their product. I for one never new they existed, i'll wait on the pics first.

Habib, how have you made out?

On another front, I've spoken with unorthodox about a pressure plate and they are in possesion of a new one that i've sent. I received a call today and they are actively looking into it. I was told they would contact me in a couple more days. I also enlightened him as to the multiple fitments this pressure plate/clutch fits. It fits the 05 honda accord 6 spd, and the TL 6 speed. That should help our cause.

I have the pic of the Spec Clutch, and to be honest, it looks like a stock pressure plate with a cheap paintjob, however, the disk is a 6 pug which may help. I'm holding back on purchasing one for the time being. I can post the pic they sent, but I'd like to post a stock pressure plate for everyone to have a comparision to veiw.

Does anyone have a stock pressure plate laying around for comparision purposes, if so, pm me and send the pic.

more to come as this unfolds. later

on my project, waiting for pistons still, should be here next week, i went with ?? (secret)

He has one made but is working on finding where he can get the best deals on parts needed. Exact price is yet to be determined. How much do you guys think this should be, I am hoping somewhere around $500. I will let you guys no soon as I hear more.

Ok, here is a picture of the Spec Clutch package that was sent to me from Enjuku Racing. Enjuku Racing got the picture from Spec Clutch at my request. If you remember, Enjuku Racing was the one advertising on Ebay for the clutch package at the top of this thread. Link to picture...

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/trlloy...bum?.dir=/11be

It looks like the stock clutch, but am not sure if any mods have been made to the diaphrams, IE, thicker, stiffer, etc to make the clamping pressure greater than stock, although they say it has been improved. My stock pressure plate is being finger fucked by Unorthodox for the possibility of a better unit. As for disk, Spec offers the 6 puk and full face with some different materials to chose from.

On a side note, ''luk clutch'' makes the factory pressure plates for our cars. http://www.lukclutch.com/ Unorthodox told me this and they were going to contact them to see if there is anything that can be done. Unorthodox also told me that the german auto makers use our style clutch on many models.

Habib... you mentioned '' He has one made but is working on finding where he can get the best deals on parts needed'', who is he? is it the 5150 Autosports? Please keep us posted on your efforts.

dual mass flywheel sux as does the pull style, self adjusting pressure plate.

Yeah its 5150 Autosports. There will be three types that are avail. and if I remember correctly the three types are: (I think this is right)
1. partiall organic material
2. complete organic
3. 4-pug

When I find out anymore info I will post.

That looks like the factory pressure-plate painted blue. That circular ring in the middle is what broke on my car everytime.

Hope UR can do something!
