New Brakes FTW!

Finally got a chance to put these bad boys on! Had them sitting in the basement all winter waiting for the brakes to wear out. Couldn't stand the vibration any more so up in the air she went:

BEFORE

HOTNESS

DURING

AFTER

Bedding them in as soon as i finish this post.
And winter was not good to my calipers. Re-painting on Sunday!

You put them on backwards.

On a side note, what pads are you running?

Yeah he did put them on backwards the slots should be going the other way.
You gotta take them off and switch them to the other side!

Haha! No they are on right guys. I took the first picture of the right, and the last was the left side. Unless the slots are supposed to go against the spin of the wheel, lol.

They are composite pads, their something-quiets. Don't remember what pads, sorry.

it actually depends on the manufacturer. it can go either way, just go by the directions they give you.

my wilwoods are supposed to go the same way as yours, so its up to whomever made the rotors.

What brand rotors are you running? I have Racing Brake rotors and they have an arrow for rotation, and they are supposed to spin against the spin of the wheel.

I was under the assumption all slotted rotors are like that.

I bout it all as a package from Rotorpros. Painting, zinc dipping, was all part of the package. The pads are Posi Quiets.

P.S.

I bedded them in after I posted this thread and man they are butter! Such an improvement from warn set...nasty. Is there a market for used rotors? I'm having them resurfaced and cleaned if they have a decent amount of life on them. Cheap replacement to hold someone over i guess.

I need new front rotors and pads, I went cheap the last time I switched my brakes and my rotors are WARPED after only a year...
How much did u pay for those front rotors?
When I got my first new rotors back in 03-04 i went with roters and EBC green and they worked out GREAT, I was strapped for cash last time I did my brakes so I went autozone special and now I know not to skimp on breaks cuz the others might cost 2 x more but last 3 x longer!

If you ever skimp on brakes, never get Autozone pads. They crumble (literally).

Im running Racing Brake slotted rotors for the front, stock rotors in the rear and Hawk Ceramic pads. Ive had them on for over a week and I love them. I had plenty of life left in my OE braks, but these stop so much better.

I think it was about $380 shipped from Heel Toe.

Yeah it was an entire set of rotors. I got Front and rear rotors, drilled and slotted, the Posi Quiet pads, and the zinc dip with the painted hubs for $300 shipped. I drove around all day today after i seafoamed my engine to burn off the seafoam in the tank. They felt amazing! So soft and absolutely quiet! Couldn't be happier.

The company is called RotorPros. I'm tryingto find the card cause I don't remeber the number. Tried to google them with no luck. All they do is performance brake kits. I'll keep looking for the info.

anyone have any idea where the discs are from; China, Taiwan, etc. I emailed the guy from rotorpros in regards to what blanks they use, and they mentioned they use centric blanks. they then drill and slot them themselves. they cover the rotors from warping and cracking for 2 years.

The link for the ebay store seems to be them. I didn't use their ebay store
when i got mine though. They had a website and i just called them up and
told him what i needed.

They have been on for two weeks now and i was stomping on them
yesterday. Just took her out for a spin (first drive all day) and it was pretty
cool out. first stop i got on 'em pretty hard and still stopping like butter.

I will update this thread as the weeks go by to let everyone know how they
are doin. Its rained a few days this week and that zinc coating doesn't even
let the minerals from the rain stay on 'em! Look good all the time!

I have AP Racing BBK on my RSX and I was told the direction of the grooves makes no dif... it is the direction of the vanes you have to be concerned with. Some rotors will have the grooves running clockwise and some will have them running counterclockwise.

Kara Mastrodonato is my sister. Yeah I need to get those calibers you have! You have a link, which I'm sure you posted one already but don't feel like reading
