My 17 year old son worked hard in school for the past year to earn a new/first car so here it is. What's better than a 03 CL Type S 6MT...
Took some searching but I found this one in Minnesota; the owner was in his 50s, military guy, this was also his project car with his sons so we're continuing the tradition. It has quite a few miles (265K) but it's taken care of and these cars can go to 400K when done right. Most of the things have been done on it (maintenance); it will need a clutch in the next 6-12 months and possibly the infamous subframe (still decent). The car is silver but it's also wrapped in silver making it even nicer as it doesn't show imperfections and dings. My son loves the late 90s, early 00s Acura/Honda cars so this is exactly what he wanted AND it's something I love since I used to own one 10 years ago. This one is even more special because only a handful of them had navigation. I can't imagine many left on the road with navi. The wild part is, the navigation works perfect, and even the clock glitch from few years back has been since fixed.
Picture is of the CL and my Accord 2.0T 6MT; the Integra decided to butt-in and photo-bomb but we don't mind.
If by some off chance any previous owner of this car is here; please let me know. The latest info on the timing belt is 180K but I have no way to verify it and neither did the previous owner. If it's 180K then I have 20K to work with but given that we all know these are interference engines and will detonate (good luck finding a used one for the 6MT, right...); I'd like to know if possible. Also, if anyone with Acura dealer access can check timing belt history (if available), let me know so I can send you the VIN. If I can't verify it, I'll probably do that first even before the clutch because a bad clutch will slip eventually and will just leave you stranded (worst case). Timing belt snapping is good night for the engine. Thanks in advance. VIN: 19UYA41703A011289

Between Canada & the U.S., there is one whole page of salvage J32A2 6MT engines on car-part.com.
If push comes to shove, a more plentiful automatic transmission CL-S / TL-S J32A2 (16 pages on car-part.com) can be made manual transmission compatible as long as you still have specific manual engine components to swap over.

If you are in the salt belt, I'd be more concerned with the 6MT front beam (discontinued) & rear beam (OEM available for $781.07 ).
Both front & rear beams for the automatic are discontinued, again though more plentiful, salvage ones can be used on the 6MT; however, you won't be able to connect the front & rear engine mount damper assemblies exclusive to the manual transmission models.
Not all service shops report work to CARFAX, but the only timing belt service I see was completed on 4/17/2008 at Bloomington Acura Subaru, when the car had somewhere between 107k and 135k miles. If you don't have the full CARFAX report and would like it, PM me, and I'll e-mail it to you.
