New 2003 CL typeS owner

Hi,

My name is Huy , 35 years old, living in dallas, texas. All my life, i never own a sport car until now. Just bought this acura at 68K miles, silver color and i love it.

I'm sooo glad to find this forum . I've been reading the CL info thread ect, but still has problem to obtain the followings

1) Owner manual. The previous owner does not have it. The link of the owner manual in this thread, whenever i clicked on it, my explorer crashed. Later, i find out that i need to register to something call "express service" of honda.com ect . But i dont' know how. Here is the link:

http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/p...303NMAINID.pdf

Does anyone able to download the manual from the above link ?

2) Radio code : Previous owner does not have it . And i cannot contact her anymore . She moved out of the country, i think . I went to honda.com website, trying to retrieve it. But obviously, my phone # & zipcode does not match with the original owner !!! Anyway, at this point, i'm thinking of replacing the original CD player with mp3/ipod player in bestbuy . Any tips for this ? Or should i still keep the original CD player . I'm worried that the new mp3/ipod might look ugly on my acura 8-(

3) Spoiler . Yes , i need the spoiler. I already read a thread in here about spoiler. And thinking of this website to buy it:

http://www.factorywings.com/-strse-3...ler/Detail.bok

How is it compare with spoilerdepot website ?

Someone mentioned that the spoiler does not have the right hole and have to drill from outside . Is that .. bad ?

4) Front headlight has some water in it. I honestly don't know how it got in there . But i can see the water spots on the glass (inside) of the right front headlight . But the light still work alright. Is there anyway to remove these water ? I hope that i could get to the owner manual to see how i can open it up, perhaps.

Anyway, so far, i love my acura.

Thanks everyone.

regards,
huy

#4 will be the start of the mod bug.
Look around at other lights.
amber lense removed, blacked out or color matched bezels, projectors, halo's,led's, just some options.

Blacked out bezel's look good on ssm.
while you have them open.....

Thanks everyone . You guys/gals are sweet.

It's auto, not manual.

But i have a question about this too. It is not quite automatic. I put the gear at D5, but the display showed at 2 only no mater how fast. I have to manually and light move the gear upward toward the + sign, then release it, the gear then changed to higher gear .

It's not quite automatic, right ? Or my gears have issue ?

Does anyone has the pdf file of the car owner manual ? Please .... Please ...

Or if anyone can download the pdf file from the link posted in this website ? I cannot access to the site.

Whatz up?

1st of all... the car will shift from 1st to 2nd gear, but you have to do the rest when its in SS mode

...otherwise, leave it in D5 and dont pull it over into the SS mode... b/c if you don't shift it in SS mode, you will be running the car in SECOND GEAR all the time... this will ruin it!

when the car is truly in D5, nothing should show up in that screen... and if it does, then, you might have a tranny problem... off to the shop she goes!

Welcome Huy. I've had my CL for about 2 months or so. Love the car. If you want to keep the factory radio, you should be able to get the codes from any acura dealer or possibly by registering on http://owners.acura.com/. Or just do what i did and get an aftermarket radio.

Thanks to your post . Silly me . I started to look around on web and ... hehehe realized that the car had 2 modes: automatic mode and sport shift mode. Before your reply, i always put it in SS mode . This is what happenned when one does not have the manual, hey .

The car is great .

I've been look around on ebay for the manual. Some guys sells cheapest at around $7 or $8 including shipping cost. Really it is a CD with the pdf file.

If the manual is a pdf file, why cann't someone share the pdf file up here , hey ?

I just want to read the portion of how to change the light bulbs in the car (head light, tail lights ect) .

Here is what i spent on the car so far, but still waiting for the parts delivered to my house :
- Spoiler (from spoilerdepo)
- in-dash DVD/wma/mp3 player from boss (ebay)
- and a light bulb for the clock 8-) 8-)

Something more to share my sille lack of knowledge 8-) 8-).

The previous owner of the car is a girl who got the car from her boyfriend right after the guy bought it. She does not drive much and not know much about the car. When i asked her about the keys to the glove compactment and the compactment in the backseat, she said : "my boyfriend did not give it to my. And i did not see him any more in the last 6 years".

Then i thought to myself : "Ok, that's fine then. I'll bring it to a locksmith and will make a key . Got to get this one since i fall in love with it (not with her) 8-)".

This morning, i bring my acura to the locksmith . The guys laughed at me . Then, he used my car key to open it and lock it.

Ah, one more thing before i sent this post. The back seat has a small rip about 1 inch. I bough the leather fix-it set, and fix it just like the rip was never be there .

I'll put up picture of my acura once i got the spoiler and put it on.

Have a great day, driving comrades 8-) 8-)

ps. anyone here from dallas ?

Thanks cdmarch . 8-)

I decided to put in the in-dash dvd player from boss. No need for the code anymore .

Thanks for your offer, clpassenubye. Will look into it once i decided to spend money on the manual. Honestly, i'm not the guy who keep the manual in the car 8-) or collect it. I just wants some information in the manual, for one time only. It is something that i will read just once and that's it.

If you want the code, just look under the lid of the fuse box

Thanks to you & p.diddy .

Ah, for the 2003 CL owner manual, i finally able can download from internet the pdf file. It's only 12.5 Megabyte in size.

I load them onto my iphone (got gigabytes free in space) . Now, i got the owner manual in my pocket instead of keeping it in my car ! Kool hey 8-)

Once i have some time, i will upload the 2003 cl manual to megaupload and everyone can download them easily . Why does someone try to sell it on ebay with CD at 7 bucks ?

welcome! Feel free to ask any questions about the car.

You should probably take the high beam bulb out of the headlight and drive around like that for a few days and the water should go away. There is a slight leak in the seal and sometimes washing your car can get condensation inside.

as for the radio code, I went to the dealer with my registration and license and they put my down in the computer as the new owner and gave me the code. you should call the dealer and ask they if you can do that if your still looking for the code.
