New '03 CLS!
Hey every1.. Just thought I'd say whats up,,, I'm a proud new owner of an '03 3.2 CL type S w/ 6 speed manual. I've been reading this forum for a while, but today I thought i'd sign up and start posting some messages!
Anyway, i'm not too sure how to upload a pic.. it asks me for text to be formatted...?
So I've got a question for every1 regarding alarms:
What kind did you go with (if you did install one) and did you opt for the remote starter? I'm worred about bypassing the anti-theft.. I'd prefer if I could get the Alarm/Starter to work WITH the Anti-theft thats already in the car.. so the car would still require the acura key with the chip in it to start...
Did anyone find a way around this? And what kinda alarm did you choose to install?
thanx!

You can use shock sensors on the factory alarm and if you decide to go the remote starter route if you have a valet key you'd be best off using your valet since its useless for anything besides your starter. Their are only a select few Alarms that are geared towards a manual tranny I believe Clifford makes one. I thought about it but decided against it since if I had to valet the car one day I fear if they would leave my car in gear.

'03 MT CL-S rules! Got mine last August and just started posting. No pics yet (don't ask), but working on them. I'd think with a MT that we couldn't have a remote starter, as the clutch needs to be engaged. Is there something I don't know about?

Hello & Welcome!
Pics have to be "hosted". You can host pics here: www.photobucket.com, or equivilant. Just start a free account there, upload your pics to it, then copy and paste the last link in your post. (the "IMG" link/code) and the pics will show up. Good luck.
