Question New '01 owner - cup holder replacement and mud guards?

I just purchased a 2001 Acura CL Type-S w/ 34K miles (tranny never had a problem, 2nd gear oil jet was installed under recall) - garage-kept its entire life in Arizona, driven by a middle-age guy.

Anyways, I'm read the OLD CL faq (http://www.geocities.com/gamesmgr/chod/acura/#Mods14) and am interested in getting the "better" (or replacement) cup holder. The part number is 77237-SOK-A02 but I cannot find it at any online Honda or Acura part warehouse (dealer or whatever). I called my local Honda dealer and he can't bring it up in his system. Now I've read this is a Honda Accord cup holder but why can't he find it? How can I get it??

Also, where can I get the mud guards now that the CL has been discontinued?

Thanks!

I've never heard of anyone using the Accord cup holder, just the one from the '03. Nice car choice. When I bought mine, it had the same mileage as yours. Is yours with the ebony interior?

Welcome ! Nice purchase!

I don't know what to tell you about the cup holders and the mud gaurds. What is wrong with the '01 cup holders? Why does everyone about them? Mine are fine, everything but my redbull cans fit in them securely and NOTHING has ever spilled out of them, including the redbulls. Even going around turns hard with a full drink sitting in there they stay.

Oh, and BTW:

Hey, thanks guys for the warm welcome (funny too) ! I will post pics as soon as I actually have the car . It's being delivered as I type this - I should be receiving it on Thursday or Friday!

It's San Marino Red with the tan interior. I probably would have prefered the ebony, if I had the choice, but since I don't ... oh well, it's all good!

The previous owner meticulously maintained the vehicle - it's in immaculate condition. I hope I don't miss my manual transmission, '99 Civic Si (Milano Red) too much . More so driving stick than anything else.

I just read complaints about the cup holder but I think I should try it before I knock it .

I'll post pics when I get it! Oh and it's a Navi model too .
