Need Your Guy's Legal Help...

My friend (16) got rolled by the police last night. He was out at 1 AM sitting in his truck with his friend in a parking lot in a park. Police pulled up and he had beer in his car. He wasn't driving nor was he intoxicated. Hes being charged with Possesion of Alcohol, Breaking Curfew and some other random traffic violation for being parked in a park parking lot. Whats the worst that could happen and what should he do?

Thanks guys...

What city? If its a 1st offense, he should be able to get off pretty light.

Well in the State of Washington:

1.) Minor in Possession: $125 fine and 90 days probabtion (can pay the fine in $25 dollar/monthly payments....good way to avoid the folks)

2.) Breaking Curfew: I can' timagine anythign larger than like $200 bucks and I'm sure he can pay that incramentaly as well.

Wouldn't sweat it. Sounds like all my friends in college. My sophomore year (20yrs old), seven of my roommates got MIPS......it's a slap on the wrist.

Yeah it is his first offense. Hes not worried about the fines/probation, hes worried about losing his license...

Pay the fine. Nothing will go on record.

He is very lucky not to get DUI. Here in AZ, they can give you a DUI if you've been drinking and have the keys in your posession and are capable of starting the car, meaning you could be in the back of a truck in a drive-in movie with the keys in your pocket and a beer in you hand and bamm DUI and talk about going on your record, DUIs are those things that just never seem to leave you alone
