I'd like to see someone elses dyno done to see if the readings are simular. I dont know how i could be mistaken for what i'm feeling with my new chip, unless in all my excitement i'm treating this mod like a placebo, if you know what i mean, like its all in my head.
In their experience the dyno shop said I was running way too lean to make power and the ECU is probably doing something to hold back to prevent it from blowing. They said my A/F should be much closer to 13.5:1. That's where they say Honda's make thier power when they are N/A. The guy actually saw my A/F numbers the 1st time and said, "wait a minute, I didn't see a supercharger under the hood, why are you so lean?"

It is leaner than I would have expected and maybe to a point to where knock, once again, is causing the ECU to pull timing regardless of what the Unichip is doing. Do you have access to a scan tool?? I am curious to see what the fuel trim values are.

I might swing by my Acura Dealership. Their service department basically has an in-house tuner shop. They were very interested in the Uni-chip gains. I might just drop it off sometime next week and have them troubleshoot.

Hopefully I'll be putting up some numbers. I haven't installed my chip yet, First I want to go to the dyno with out any Feeling of the chip to influence. Then I'm going to put the chip in, drive it for at least a week then go back and dyno it again.

Thank you Louie11,
Please use whatever gas you always use for daily driving. I really think that there's just too many variables introduced to this dyno to have everyone make decisions on.
Also remember, my original dyno was provided my a 3rd party dyno that Unichip themselves had to pay to get done. It showed gains there..

I just got off the phone with Tony from Uni-chip. He went over my dyno and agrees the car is running way too lean. He said the maximum A/F he would like to see is around 13.2.
Taking another look at my dyno I am WAY above that. Most of the time I am at least at 13.8 and once I hit Vtec I jump above 14.0
The shop where I had my dyno performed is a "Uni-Chip shop." Something they did not tell me when I was orginially there. They are going to get my car back and custom tune the car and the chip to get the A/F back where it should be. Basically all they will have to do is direct the Uni-Chip to flow more fuel. I will have this solved this week. In the meantime I will not be running the Uni-chip, it is just too lean. I recommend anyone who is having problems please take it to the dyno and at least do 1 or 2 pulls to check your A/F ratio.

This is very interesting reading that has to do with gas and piggyback ECU's provided by Ericl.
It deserves attention.. well at least as much as the amount of links Ants been putting every where about his issues.
