Need Service Bulletin
I took my car to the dealer to do somework on it and they said my car does apply for the wiper system bulletin. Thus, I need the service bulletin for windshield wiper system. Thanks

For future reference you can find any TSBs (technical service bulletins) or recalls for ANY car at the National Highway and Transportation Safety Administration page.

The problem occurs when you attempt to use the WINDOW WASHER fluid. Normal use of the wipers in the rain will be FINE, provided you DON'T use the washer fluid -- again, not ALL people have had this problem though.
I did -- I was afraid to use the washer fluid for the first few months after I had my car because of what I saw on here. After I finally did, I had those white sticky streaks ALL over my windshield like everyone else who had the problem.
What happens is, the concentration of the Acura washer fluid was NOT right and it ATE away at the hoses that bring the fluid to the washers, thus leaving sticky deposits all over your windshield AND your wiper blades when you use the washer. I ruined TWO pairs of wiper blades by using the washer!
I finally got the wipers replaced (a third time) and they must DRAIN the fluid (they did that twice) and the last time, they FINALLY changed the HOSES !! Even if they give you new wiper blades and drain the tank, they MUST change the HOSES because that's what gets eaten up and gets all over your windshield and ruins the blades !
Sorry for the long explanation - but after 2 failed attempts by the dealer and EVERYONE's help on here, they finally fixed it right !

The bulletin is #01-004. It pertains to 01 CLs between the following vin #s
19UYA4...1A000001 TO 19UYA4...1A032357. If your vin number is outside of this range, the bulletin does not apply to your car. That may be what your dealer is saying.

Wayne,
I've had my fluid tank flushed, wiper hoses replaced, and wiper blades replaced. Yet I still get streaking when I use my wipers, even after I cleaned my windshield with ammonia. Yes, I am certain the old hoses were removed and replaced with new hoses, as the old hoses were returned to me when I picked up my car. I'm so frustrated, I'm thinking of going to non-OEM blades. Any sugestions?
