Need rotors & pads asap
I need to get some rotors/pads for my 2001 CL Type S this week. These are the sets (front and rear) I picked out......I can get the Centric BKB304686 C-Tek Brake Disc and Pad Kit for $120 shipped, Centric BKB300580 Premium Brake Disc and Pad Kit for $215 shipped, or Powerstop K2296 Evolution (Z16) Brake Disc and Pad Kit (Front Rotors: 11.81 in.; Rear Rotors: 11.1 in. Disc Diameter) for $275 shipped.

after a bunch of error and trial I went with powerslot rotors and stoptech pads.. the normal pads... nothing special.
if u get "good pads" they have to be hotter to work as normal pads would. so for daily driving "good pads" actually are worse for stopping cause u dont ever heat them up.
plus because the pads are a harder material u end up chewing through the rotor more. which is why i always did rotors and pads back then cause the rotor had worn a few mm down (which is a lot).
if u like the whole spirited driving then get the good pads. but i would just get good rotors and the decent pads.. cause in the winter thime u will have to push on the pedal way harder to get anything out of the brakes.
as soon as i switch the pads to the normal crappy ones from stoptech the car stopped way better. now i cant do anything mental braking or else i will melt them... butt i dont do that anymore so i am happy with the grandma pads.
never thought i would say that. I must be getting older

If you're looking for a quality brake package that is durable and performance-oriented I'd check out our XLR8 brake packages. If you're in NY too you should have the parts in 1-2 business days since we're in CT.
