No such thing as headlight covers...just headlights.

For some suggestions check this thread.

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-2001-2003-50/diy-clear-coat-headlights-permanent-fix-maybe-784053/

If it can't be cleared, you'll just need new headlights.

The design of the headlights for the 2nd Gen CL never changed throughout the cars production. The only difference is that the 2003 model came with a black housing/trim. The 2001-02 model came with a chrome/silver trim. If you have a 01 or 02, installing the 03 headlights is certainly considered an upgrade. They are a direct replacement, no modding required.
Therefore the 2003 headlights have a higher demand and higher price.

Aftermarket headlights for this car do not exist. (thank god!) Its oem or nothing.

Yeah it's a matter of preference. What color is your CL?

Black housing FTW. What color is your car? You may be able to get away blacking out your own lights, but if you have a color other then white or silver, it wont look right because there is a strip of silver paint on the lense of the 01-02 lights running underneath the weatherstripping.

I've seen headlights that were so oxidated that even the light wouldnt go through them. Fixed by heavy sanding and clearcoating

I have a pair of extra '03 headlights, PM me for price. They're in excellent condition, no haze no oxidation, etc.

I'll let them go for much less than what you'll pay for a pair from the dealership or acuraoemparts.com

Oh ok, Pimp Daddy Gold. Nice.

I still vote for the Black Housing [03's].

Wetsand and polish yours. Then take them apart and paint the housing either body color or black

I had my headlights polished and then put tinted film covers over them. That really helped with the oxidation problem.
