Need More Horses
Need More Horses
I am the proud new owner of an '01 CL Type S....need to know what is the quickest way to get it up over 300 horses. Also, any suggestions on some nice after market wheels (still stock on this car).
Thanks

Get a Unichip, it's a start. Check out the thread below for all the details about the groupbuy going on right now.

start with an intake and headers. it's hard to get an auto over 300 horses. even w/ a supercharger they are around 275whp. keep an eye on this forum and you will find all the answers you need.
ps, i'm talking wheel horsepower. the cl-s makes around 200whp stock.

I know you say you want HP, but remember, it's quite useless unless you can get it to the ground. If I had to do it all over again, I'd get tires first. Next, headers. The intake wasn't a noticable gain but gives off an awesome roar in VTEC that scares grandmas and little children.

The route I went was intake, exhaust, tires, springs, headers. As Seattle said.. tires are important... especially when adding more power as the stock tires suck. You should also look into springs to help with handling. What good is going fast when you'll have to slow down for every turn? Tires and springs will help you with that.Just something to keep in mind....

I'm still stock hp w/ 18s and I can barely get traction as it is.
