Need to be a litle faster

Hey guys i was just wondering what mod i could put on my cl-s and make it about a half a second quicker i already have a AEM cold air intake which dropped my times from 15.5 to 15.0 but i need to be around 14.5 for Drag Wars down here in Bradenton FL and i need it by oct 9th and im lookin at spending around $300...any suggestions?

Half a second is hard to achieve with just mods. Shifting correctly is the biggest "mod" to achieve 14.5.

I'm not sure if you can do it with $300 but look into the Alpha Werks Headers or a used N20 system.

If you have a auto you should be running high 14's stock.. If you have a 6-speed you should be running lower 14's..

The best thing you can do is buy a set of used comptech headers.. Or buy the Alpha Werk headers that should get you where you want to be..

I would say he got better on the track.. He shouldn't have been running 15.5 stock..

Remember in FL it's hella fucking hot with 90% + humidity. That could be affecting his times.

You should be able to find some AW headers for around $3-400

First time I went to the track it was with my 02 auto totaly stock, even tires. I couldn't even get a 15.5. It was more like 15.6's. My very first run was a 16.1.

Definitely get headers.


I ran a 15.2@90 stock. Then with the CAI, I ran a 15.0@92. After headers, I ran a 14.5@98.

First Run I ever did at the track was 15.2
Best has been 14.7 in super hot and hella humidity. Weather sucks.

nice times man now just put a supercharger and stickier tires if you dont have already and you;ll be in the high 13s or maybe less...
