need help vsokolov's navi fix 4 video input

i am curretly trying to run vsokolov's navi unit with a back up camera and a dvd player. the problem is this i tried to use a relay for the trigger switch to be triggered by the reverse light but i am contemplating how i would use the same video input for the backup camera for the dvd player without having to buy a video switcher for $100+ and leaving the component power (dvd, ps2 ) on a constant 12v+ on.

PLS ANY IDEAs WELCOME

This is an old thread, but you could use two relays.

I'm using a 4 pole double throw in my CL-S for my modified XBOX. Wouldn't be difficult to throw in another relay in the mix.

b.t.w.
Installation on the relay is much easier if you get a socket for the relay.

I.E. install the reverse relay closest in line to the navi HU in the trunk, put the +/- to activate the relay to the reverse lights and ground to the chassis. Then install the second relay behind the 1st closest to the navi unit in line. This way the reverse will over-ride the other relay.

Cheezy diagram:
Navi LCD display ---> Reverse relay--> Video input relay --> Navi CPU/DVD box.

This diagram assumes connection via the relay unswitched, at idle. So the default current path.
