Is the airbox cover secured completely? If the airbox is still open it will most deffinately hum. I had a similar situation with my air box when I installed my K&N. Apparently the dealer someone managed to break both of the clips on the base of the airbox where the tabs of the top slid into, so It made a slight humming sound. My solution was a couple of long zip ties to hold down the top of the air box, which really was a pita to put in because I took apart the whole thing to get the zip ties underneath.

Did you simply change the filter to the K&N? Did you mess with the box at all or the resonator?

Cause I was messing with mine a few weeks ago. I've been running without the resonator for over a year but left the little rubber seal that went around the airbox hole.

Well I tried removing this & got this LOUD whine from the airbox at idle. I put that rubber piece back in & it was gone.

It is supposed to hum a little bit though.
