59.99 seems really cheap for all of that!!! plus a polished finish......Either that stuff is junk and thats why its soo cheap or its just a good deal....either way I have herad too many stories of people getting hurt or killed due to faulty jacks and stands....and you can't put a price on someones life.....

Too cheap. Stuff probably isn't that great. Just go and buy a decent one from a store near you. Buying one over the net, the shipping will kill you as these jacks weigh a ton.

Even though I saw it on the net, its from Kragen's website. I wont have to worry about shipping since I can just have it sent to the local Kragen and pick it up there, no shipping charge.
What would be some recommended ones to get then?

My buddy got a really cool Jack from Costco. It was like $150 or something, but the range of use is awesome. He has slammed integra with a body kit, and the jack goes from like a 4" to a 19" lift or something crazy like that. Check it out.

Not bad. You can get a cheap jack and stands from a parts store for around $25 though. A creeper is useless with jack stands. Puts you up too high to get under the car. I just use an old carpet pad.

Sears has got this aluminum jack for a little over a hundrend bucks. The thing is amazingly light. I would opt to get that. It's craftsman btw, so it's quality stuff.

raptor,
THE important feature.- lift 24" minimum - allows for standard 8" jack stands to be placed under both sides of frame supports when you lift at center front jack point

That jack is a POS, the casters will not handle weight for very long. If you need something to use a dozen times it'll be OK. Don't expect a long life out of the jack.

That jack/stands are very generic and sold under various names/colors... I've had one of those before, it ended up breaking after 3 years of use. I now have a 6 ton jack, it's 10x better it goes lower, jacks higher, pumps easier... it was $90 bucks. but worth it....

Don't buy cheap tools, you're only playing with your life, it's not cool to find out the hard way

What's your life worth?

That Alltrade junk is mostly offshore junk and hanging out under a car supported by junk is like driving at the Indy 500 with "home-brew" brakes made from pot metal.

No, I'm actually talking about rotors made of pot metal. I've seen, borrowed and used some offshore junk that broke without too much trouble. Good thing I wasn't depending on similar quality stuff to hold a car up and off me. I've even seen a GOOD jack stand give way, and if not for a sturdy toolbox sitting under the oil pan, a buddy would now be "Mr. Pancake." 'Nuf said...
