i havent gotten a straight answer yet over in the first gen forum so i thought you guys might know. i want to replace my steering wheel, and will disconnecting the battery disable my airbag? i know someone on here works at motorworld and might have access to the manual to check this. PLEASE HELP!

 

I replaced the steering wheel on my 97 Accord, so assuming it's the same as that, that answer is no. Just disconnect the battery and take your time. Also, if you want to make some money, your airbag will probably go for a couple hundred on ebay. Good luck.

Disconnecting the battery does not do anything to the airbag. I disconnected mine when I put in CAI to reset chip.
