My Navi Screen pops up the blue screen with yellow box saying "DVD Disc Read Error" Disc Unformatted. Consult your dealer.

But when I reset it by turning the car off and on, it works again, but this is happening a lot lately.

Any suggestions to what causes this to happen. I took the DVD out and its clean. Are there problems with the DVD reader that others are having ?

 

Navigation brain in the trunk has gone bad .Try taking the disc out and reinserting it .If you get the same result time for a dealer trip to have the trunk mounted device replaced .

Is that covered under the Extended Warranty ?

 

Which warranty do you have? You should have gotten a copy of the waht's covered what's not list with your warranty so just take a look at the list and see if it is covered.

Actually just got off the phone with the Acura Care Warranty People, they said it is covered under my warranty package.

 

Way to go then .Good glad to hear it all worked out in that respect .

I called the dealer on it they were clueless..(at least mine was)...I took the dvd out...wiped it off on a clean surface(my shirt and reinserted and it worked fine.
