Has anyone installed or seen one of the boxes to convert the navigation screen to a video screen for DVD player and TV tuners? I was thinking on installing one of these and was wondering about the sound coming through the stereo and how well the picture comes in.

This topic has been covered at length, including various options available, and there has been at least one group buy recently.
For sound, you can go with an FM Modulator, or preferably something called the "blitzsafe" module which allows you to have inputs such as RCA-type plugs hook up to the auxiliary input on the stock head unit. You may want to search on that, too.
