As all of u know the navi in the 2nd gen suck asz even with the latest software update. it is not just up to per with the 3rd gen navi. (the maps are just still outofdate)
My question is :

IF it is possible to do a swap of the new nav to the old one.

I know there are aftermarkets NAV units but this is not what i am after.

I dont know if there is any similarities in the interface and wiring diagram to make it possibe but hey hence comes the question. (maybe just changing the rom unit without the actual display will work assuming they have the same connectors and similar sensors )

What do u guys think ??

 

i don't think u can just replace the rom. i don't think the 3g will work at all in a 2g but i have been wrong before
