Navi and Navi Disk (had a problem)
Hey guys, I have a question about the Navi and the Navi Disk.
Please dont reply to me and tell me to use the search feature better, if you dont feel like answering dont.
I have an 01 CL-S with Navi. It has the original disk. I took the car to Vegas over the weekend. I kept trying to put the addy of my hotel into the Navi but it kept giving me an error message saying that, the destination could not be located from the current point and that I should try later. Kept giving me this message all the way to Vegas and wouldnt work. I tried putting in further destinations like hotels in Mami and they all would come up. Vegas destinations wouldnt. Also when I was leaving Vegas I tried to put in my home addy but the navi would not work in Vegas almost at all. Untill I got about 20 miles outta Vegas I couldnt even see the map. Any ideas?
Also what are some pros and cons of getting a new Navi disk? I've heard that people have problems with the Navi being slow, but even as of right now it takes 1-2 seconds to downlaod the info on my current Navi. My friend has the 04 I35 with Navi and he has the 3D display with a lot of things on the navi, makes our navi's kinda look plain, I was wondering what were the changes with the new disk as well as if its a 3D view.
Thanks for all the help guys.

Just a side note to anyone upgrading their NAV DVD.
Throw your old DVD’s on EBAY.
For some reason I don’t understand, they sell for quite a good amount.
One or two versions back regularly sell for 100+ and even really old versions still fetch 25-50 range.
I always buy the latest one from Acura when it comes out and I sold my last two for over 125 bucks.
So my last two upgrades only cost me like 50-bucks.

Trust me, the Nissan/Infiniti Navi sucks ass compare to the Acura one.
I owned a 2002 TL-S with Navi and now drives a 2004 Nissan Murano with Navi.
The Acura one is by far smarter and easier to use compare to the Nissan one even though the Nissan system is newer.
Yes, it does have the 3D look, but that's just a fancy display option and it actually is confusing to look at when you drive.
Don't get fooled by the fancy look of the Nissan/Infiniti system, be glad you have one of the best and easiest to use Navi system around. I wish my navi on the Nissan is half as smart as the Acura one.
