Navi Dvd 2.11c

heylo!

Just got my 2.11C Navi DVD...anyone else? Can't seem to find the old threads. Install worked like a charm, no previoius address problem.

Any idea whether the older versions can be backed up??

Thanks!

2.11b is NOT the older version now.

2.11c is JUST a patch. (for problems I didn't have BTW)

Version C did fix my problems. I had the issue where none of my 'Previous Destinations' were being remembered. The patch fixed it. It also seems to search the database a bit faster, but that may just be wishful thinking...

Nope. The 2.11C is a full install. I didn't even have 2.11b. U can order the 2.11C full DVD now. Question is whether my 2001 DVD can be backed up before i store it away?? I did a copy, but can no longer test it since my Navi has been updated to 2.11C.

Yeah i did the install last week and all is well.

What was really good over V2.11B was that a lot of those red box icons on the map are now on the correct side of the street.

I got my 2.11c disc over the weekend.

I'm gonna install it over lunch.

I'll let y'all know if I experience any problems.

OK, I didn't know that. Your 2001 disc is useless now in your car now that you have installed the 2.11C. If you want to sell it and keep a copy for yourself, don't bother. Just sell the original.

I think that's what you're getting at (just a hunch)

I just installed the update disk a few days ago, and it did fix at least one annoying bug i was experiencing with 2.11b. When I looked at POI's, such as restaurants, and it had the list of them up, if I scrolled down the list it didn't update the directional arrow and the distance (version 2.03 worked fine). Now that I have 2.11c, it works as it should, and the directional arrows even rotate if you are driving past a POI that is close by.

Is there anyway to check to see if they have updated the disc with new roads in my area (or fixed some of the wrong directions in 2.03)? It's no use to me if the 101 and 51 in Phoenix are still incomplete (both roads were completed this year).

Recent construction does not show up (in my experience). I guess the plans were not submitted to the database in time for the update. I think construction, less than 2 years is not included in 2.11.

OR our database was being worked long ago and the release was held up so long that new streets are newer than the update.

Nope, as soon as it loaded up I was at my home in Northwest DC!!

Chap, I now (like you) have an extra 2.05 DVD. Are you keeping your DVD so that in the future (tomorrow-never) when you sell your car you can "part" out the 2.11c version?? I'm debating whether to sell my old version, thoughts?

Oh is that where that was? I should have planned a route trip to my house to see how far it was and how long it would have taken.

Yeah i'm gonna end up hanging on to the DVD unless i see a demand for v2.05 popping up. I'd think it'd be tough to sell it considering most people would want the most recent update. However if they’re location wasn't added in v2.11 they may want to upgrade to v2.05 instead, for cheaper.
