Nav version incorrect reading?

Nav version incorrect reading?
Hey guys i have the Nav dvd version 1.09. I went to the settings and it said so. I borrowed my friends V2.05 and it read at v2.06 which is werd, but beside the point. After a few days, i took it out and installed my old one again, how ever it still says v2.061. How is this so?

I'm confused by what you wrote. But this might help....
If you install newer DVD software disc into your Navi hardware, the firmware (which resides in your Navi hardware) gets upgraded...permanently. Regardless of which [older] version of DVD software disc is in your Navi hardware.

Well on my v1.09, the gas stations do not have the logos of the stations. On the 2.05 it did. Now I am using my original again, and the gas stations are just pump icons, not the brand.
