NA CL-S... max specs?
Hey guys, i was wondering what the max hp/torque that was possible with all the mods out there while keeping the engine NA? any info on which mods, HP at crank and wheels, and 1/4 miles times will be appreciated
In terms of "bang for the buck" it seems that intake + headers offers the most performance per $.
I think, and I may have the numbers wrong, that I+H is going to bring you around 244whp. The exhaust apparently doesn't add much power though the Comptechs look nicer (so get the axle back instead of the cat back if you're intent on replacing the exhaust).
I've seen all sorts of numbers thrown out but I think that with I+H and the unichip you could see as much as the low 250s ... I'm sure others have more accurate numbers.
I know you mentioned NA but as far as a Supercharger goes, it's here that I run into some confusion. Comptech lists their peak power gain at 274whp@5400RPM ... Which is rather bizarre because on their dyno sheet the CL-S 6MT with I+H+E+S/C hit a flat spot between 5400 and 5800RPM and then shot up again to peak out at about 300whp at 6800RPM.
There's a lot of potential in the car but it's gonna cost ya

Pulleys won't really add much HP, but will quicken the revs. B-pipe might add 3 HP. Uni-chip adds about 10HP/10TQ throughout the power band and almost 20 at the peak. Unfortunately, it could be very tough to get a uni-chip if you aren't in the group buy.

man... those are specs i would like to see... i'm assuming this is six speed though?
i want to break 14 seconds NA 5speed auto. i know it'll it tough but hopefully i can be able to do so.

rezurex .. high 13s shouldnt be a problem. I have CT intake CT headers CT exhaust and light 18s with good tires .. made 14.17 @ 98.5 MPH, 2.17 60ft .. with unichip I am confident I can break into the 13s.
It is important to have sticky tires and by all means .. WHEELS AS LIGHT AS YOU CAN GET in the size you want.

well, i got lots of money from insurance and lawsuit from the guy that gave me braindamage when he smashed head on into my maxima... 
i got about $35k for the car + for suffering (i also got a lot more for medical, but that was separate). i spent $15k for the CL-S (family friend owns a used car dealership) and pocketed the rest. i figure since i considered spending around 30k on a car, i can spend a good amount doing some mods that'll let me enjoy the car without doing anything too crazy to it since i can see myself trading it in sometime in the next year or two for another car.

For what is currently available which would be I/H/E/P + Unichip could yield about 240+ WHP on the 5AT and about 265+WHP on the 6-Speed. Now, with some serious attention you might be able to squeeze a little bit more out.
However, I do feel that 300 WHP on the 6-Speed and 275 WHP on the 5AT will be possible NA and expect to see this within the next year.
