My W7 shredded....should I just yank the stereo...put it back to stock...and TRADE IT

MY car is a 2001, it has 24K miles.....it is in MINT condiditon. What do you think I could get for it? I owe $4,800...so I was figuring that I could get $17K, leaving me with around $13K to put down on something new. I could put some more of my own cash into it if I needed to. I was thinking about getting a 350Z!

It's just 500-600 bucks for a new W7, isn't it?

Because a sub broke, you're thinking about trading in the car??

I see your "logic", but I find it kind of... hilarious.

Why would you want to get rid of the car just because you blew a speaker? or are you just using that as a lame excuse? Sell it if you want the 350 don't let other people make up your mind.

I can think like that sometimes too. If your tired of the car go for it if you think it will make you happy. The 350Z is a great car for the money and has good mod potential.

The reason I'm toying with the idea of trading it in is because I could just put everything back to stock and get rid of it. The wheels are off right now....I could take out the system....then its stock and it would be easy to get rid of. In all reality....I shouldn't do it.....I just wanted to see what you guys thought...

If you get a 350Z, you should try to get a used one ... I'm seeing a lot of them for sell. Many people just want a new car ... then they get tired of it. You could save a few buck like I did on my CL-S.

I like the Z but I also like the G35. I'm not sure what Infiniti did differently but their basically the same car ... I think the G35 might hold it's value better. Better warranty on the G35. I'm not sure about the mods. Something to think about.

Nicky, you and I think i lot alike. I just don't post it as often
Don't do it. Buy the condo. I have to talk myself out of the same thing every frickin day. It is painful. But, sensible.
Plus, my cousin is really unhappy with the Z. Not the car as much as the service. Shit falls apart and Nissan refuses to fix stuff. I guess the brakes are an issue. The difference is that Infiniti dealers fix the problems and the Nissan dealers give you the big "fuck off".

Completely ripped off after 7 months. I think my sealed box was too big and shit kept hitting it in my trunk, I asked jl to fix and they said its 3~4 weeks and about 70% of a new one.

So I got this

jl made box w/ grills to protect it

Nova....NOTHING is ever in my trunk.
As for trading the CL in....I owe 4833. So that means if I get $17.5K for my car....I have roughly $13K to put down....If I get a new car around $30K, my payments will be around $375 a month, I like my light $260 a month payment....I don't know what the fuck to do....I wish I could get rear ended ....wreck the system and total the car so I could get some good money to put down on something new....because I would have to.

Well, if you're going to car shop, you might as well go look at a G coupe.

Bigger trunk and a backseat.

I'm not dumping the CLS for a few years....

It'll be nice to have a house and no car payments!

I'm going to build my next steed anyway The CLS is a nice daily driver...

If you’re in the market for a House or Car it’s always better to get the house first.
Applying for a car loan with a mortgage on the books is no big deal, but a big car loan balance can really screw up your debt ratio for a mortgage.
Plus it could trigger a higher interest rate and rates are LOW LOW LOW right now.
The value of the CL won’t be that much different in a few months. You already took the hit.

I'm still waiting for some real info on it.... but 400+ hp.. thats's a given.

There are NO Brembo problems. The issues are with the standard brakes on the Z/G, and those have been resolved.

People are getting 30K plus out of the Brembo pads and I haven't heard of one issue of rotor warping.

I justify it as follows...

I'm not in the market for a house right now since I can't afford to move out and make mortgage payments on one, so I am buying a car!
