everything fails, this one just for some reason failed very early

spending 80 bucks on a thermostat that runs a drop cooler will fail too

Nothing? Plus, makes your engine run 20 degrees cooler, extending, somewhat, your engine life.

5.9HP and 7.4FtLbs of TQ which you can't even feel, most likely you won't own the car long enough for it to die on you. plus u have to deal with Honda/Acura if you car over heats because of an aftermarket thermostat.

Anyway, no thanks

How will it overheat if it runs cooler and the fan kicks in at a lower temp?

Not only that, but the visual differences between Mugen and stock is nothing, no one would ever notice it (dealer).

I understand about not wanting to change the items. But that doesn't mean doing so is worthless.

The Mugen pieces are built well but will also die. Not a big deal though. And that power could not be felt, but it could be seen on slips.

if it fails for some reason which i'm sure they do you will overheat just as i did the other night with the stock one.

you may think they don't look different, but if they are looking for something they will notice the differences. if it was worth the money i would get it, but it's not

If you were to swap in the Mugen piece, why would you take it to a dealer if it failed??

Anyway, the worth is dependent on the perception.

only reason u would tkae it to a dealer is if your engine did fail from overheating and you still had a warranty

i think you should concider clicking on scalberts name...then click on "find more posts by scalbert"...read for 3 minutes...then ask your self..."hummmm i wonder who knows more about this car? me or him?" i think the answer will be obvious....if 100 mugen Tstats failed and the owners then were stupid enough to drive there car until the engine blew...i dont think once would the dealer discover there was a different T stat in the car...shit most dealers dont even know how to check for a failed acctuator

no offense to anyone, but i do have someone here who has over 35 years experince working on cars, and i value his opinion about cars more than anyone else

but maybe also read what he wrote, u will not feel the power difference which is what most people are looking for

sometimes when a car overheats you don't notice until it's too late. i watch my gauges so i knew what was going on which is why i don't have any engine problems, but others don't look

the steam coming out of the hood will be a strong enough indicator for most of us...anway ...fact is the tstat is a good mod and if you can do it your self ...i'd be willing to bet cost wise it isnt much more than the o.e. purchased from acura..when combined with other mods, weather felt or not ...it can only be considered a plus atleast IMO

My point is if you would replace an item like the T-Stat with a lower temp one, you would also most likely have other modifications done the vehicle. At which point you normally wouldn't jump the gun and go to a dealer with the mods on the car for something which could potentially be pointed towards the mods.

By the sound of it, your car is stock??

I disagree, most would like their car to turn better times, if they are looking at something like this. The peak power gain wasn't the best part, it was the overall power gain.

yes it's completly stock except for comptech springs which i'm waiting for them to eventually rust
i tried the headers and didn't like them, then tried the stone ones and they leaked

after blowing my engine on my civic up i decided it's safe to stay stock and have a warranty
