my service dept. experience
my service dept. experience
I brought my car into North Hampton Acura in NH during the first week of October because the cd-changer in the stereo wasn't working properly. It hasn't really worked right since I bought the car in August. They look at it and try to tell me that it must be the CDs that I am using and tell them that no, there is a problem with the unit. Finally, they agree and tell me they ordered a new unit and it should be in within a week. They said they'd call me. 3 weeks go by and still no call. So, I call them and ask what's going on and the people in parts said..."Didn't service call you to tell you that we need to pull the radio out to get a number off of the back"? Well, of course they didn't. So, I finally have a day off (the day before Thanksgiving) so I take the car in to have them get the numbers off of the stereo. When I arrive they are all confused and the guys in parts are arguing with the guys in service and finally they realize that the number they need is on the face of the stereo. The guys takes down the number and tells me that he'll take care of it. I wait 2 weeks and get a message on my phone..."We need to get a number off of the face of your stereo so we can place the order for your stereo".
I give him the number, again, and he says that it will be in in 2 days. Its been over a week and still no call.
2 months to PLACE an order.
I hate incompetance. Does anyone know an address that I can write to to complain to Acura?
Thanks

My recent experience was ok. I went in on Saturday to get my spolier, & mud flaps put on. I was suprised that there were only 3 Acura's in the service bay. All for just check ups, & oil changes. My only problem was there were SOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOWWWW. I went in at 8:30am. I didn't get my car back untill almost 11am. This was Rick Case Acura in Florida. They did have a nice waiting area with big chairs, free food, drinks, TV, & had 3 internet computer's setup. I was impressed with that, but not the time. BIG difference from the chrysler dealer. My 300m was in there so much, I knew them, & they knew me. That shouldn't be the case.
