my seat warmer only works for a bit

So i just noticed today that my seat warmer no longer FRIES my back anymore ... DAMNIT

It's like it works for a little then cuts out for some reason. but the heater light is still on high.

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

good chance it is a broken heater element and when it gets hot it move enough to stop working, or you move it when you shift around in the seat light will still work though.
on mine (03TL-S) both the high and low light still came on, but neither the back or butt worked, both had burned out elements
you gotta pull the seat out in order to get to the butt one and diaassembly it, back one though you might be able to do it with it still in the car
BTW: search for the "3$ seat heater fix"; mine was free cause i had wire laying around

yea I just ran into that thread/.

lol and I just went for a drive and the seat warmers worked perfectly.

Now I think I'm making this whole thing up in my head for some reason. But w/e I'll pull out the seat and fix it if it stops working for GOOD.

but I'm not getting that messy unless I HAVE TO.

thanks for the response tho. now I know what to expect and how to fix the problem if it ever occurs permenently.

seems kinda hard. the seat weighs like 50 pounds and you have to remove the hog ties holding down the leather.

Heated seats on high will turn themselves off once they reach a certain temperature, and won't turn themselves back on until they cool off. Turn on high for 5mins, then switch over to low, and they will maintain a relatively warm temperature. Read the manual that came with the car, I'm almost positive the directions are in there somewhere.
