My Projector Fogs

So I decided to do projector fogs right before winter break. Originally was trying to get my hands on some 01-02 CL fogs but then I discovered how small the housing was and decided that that housing was too small for a projector retrofit. I told Serb that I was going to do it, and he beat me to it and retrofitted Audi projectors with 3000k HID and constructed a custom enclosure (If you haven't seen them already on the 2G TL section, here's a link.. https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/99-01-projector-fogs-w-3000k-760290/). I found a set of Lexus ES300 Yellow Glass projectors (JDM YOOOO!) paired with an 5000k HID I had laying around. Then I spent a long night in the garage with him and our token black guy. Oh, and all these pics were taken on my phone so I'm sorry for the horrible quality.

The projectors with the OEM enclosure and brackets.

A closer look of the projector without the protective glass.

How I mounted the projector. We cut the top of the bracket that was an angle and grinded parts to make the bolts sit flush.

Looking at the car.

Looking out of the car. (OMG I had to piss real bad... Get it? Yellow snow? )

The pic of the output from the car and looking at the car was taken at two different times just FYI.

Nice output and good work. I was planning on a similar 3000k retro when I find or buy some extra housings. Any pictures on how you are going to finish it off from the outside?

I originally was going to mount the projector and the housing onto the dummy fog housing but then decided to mount it to the sub-frame thing. I cut the driver side dummy already but now I have to cut the other side so right now I don't know exactly. I'm kind of thinking about cutting the opposite corner and mounting it and see if the just the outer lip of the dummy will block any of the light, if it does I'll probably hack up the rest of it and just leave the part closest to the center and paint it silver (OE color of course) just so it doesn't look like somethings missing like it is.

Good luck. I'm planning my HID fogs now. Just haven't decided if I'm going to get used OEM "fogs" or use my dummy pieces as a base.

Hey, I decided to mount it like that about 5mins before Srb took off my bumper and ran with it. I didn't think it turned out bad at all for using the brackets and making it a simple install. The brackets withstood 75mph on the highway plus rain so I'm happy. Oh yeah, how do you like your interior in red? I saw your pic thread and I wanna copy you lol.

OEM fogs = easy IMO. Srb's took really long since he had to make his own enclosure and mine wasn't too bad since I had an enclosure.

Haven't finished the dummies yet, the semester just started and I got a crap load of hard classes so once I find some free time I'm going to try to finish. I'm probably going to have to find another set of dummies, the drivers f***ed since I changed how I was mounting them at the last second.

Thanks, the pics honestly don't do the actual beam justice. But both pics are without headlights, the only thing on in both pics are the parking lights.

I love the red interior. The green/yellow color was hideous.

It was a bit of a headache I must admit, Srb's was way more complicated than mine were but he did retrofit Audi projectors. But the end results for both of our cars were well worth it, and they're sexy as h3ll imo lol.

I wanted to retrofit projectors for my lows, but I'm too scared. In reality, I do have 01-02 headlights on my 03 for some reason so I guess if I screw up...
