btw got 142000 miles on my original clutch still going strong the oem clutch is fine for our cars.
I agree 100%.. an improper or inadequate break-in, combined with the track use can easily cause the premature wear you're experiencing. Might as well try your luck at the dealer for a warranty replacement, but know going in that it is not hard to identify a clutch which has been abused. My advice would be to upgrade, and go beyond the manufacturers recommended break-in period next time around.

BTW, 200k on my original clutch

I'm actually in disagreement with the majority. I do not think hard running a fairly new clutch should waste it that quick. If it was wasted it should be slipping.
It's possible the PP wasn't installed correctly. Did the dealer use that PP tool that the service manual warns needs to be used or clutch failure will happen?

rev the car up to like 5k and drop the clutch see if the tires spin or the clutch doesnt grab then tell us what happens.
Tires spin normally. Clutch does not slip and it Grabs like new.

Just will not go into gear easily

My clutch does not slip. It broke suddenly. I do not know why people keep saying it's the disc

Could be syncros in the tranny.

The clutch pedal isnt stiffer then usual. The shifter will go into gear normally when the car is off.

Jake, try going through every gear, once with the car off, again with it on.

it almost sounds like a master/slave cylinder issue...one thing that bugs me though is that the OP keeps saying these cars were made to be abused/pushed etc., and that's untrue. no manufacturer designs with this kind of abuse in mind.

My syncros are fine. I just checked.

It's not my clutch disc either because it doesn't slip and it grabs perfectly. (So no guys i did not burn my Clutch disc so please stop with that).

Again, it was a sudden break which leads me to believe it was a defective or improperly installed Pressure Plate.

Theres no way in heck this car was meant to break from a simple 1/8 mile.

I'm not trying to yell at anyone i'm just trying to let you know that it might not have been my fault.

Who knows? Maybe it was my fault. Do you know? No. Do i know? Nope.

I kindly ask everyone in here to please stop jumping to the conclusion that it was my fault. Nobody including myself knows yet until it's all exposed on the mechanic's table

All the fluids are full. Just took my car out for a test drive.

Clutch works perfectly.

All of my gears are harder to go in than usual but i think my syncos are fine because there is no way that all 6 of my syncros went out at the same time.

Car is going in tomorrow

if its hard to get them in gear it may be low fluid. did u check the weep hole? its a 10mm bolt right above the drain hole on the tranny. pop it off and top it till it drips

i know what it is.

sometimes when i missshifted from 1st to 2nd i had a big problem to get back into any gear.

i had to use alot of force to put it into a gear. it can me be synchros and clutch when its slipping. but after a day of driving the synchros are fine and i can shift normaly. happened to me like twice.

I'd stay off the track. These cars weren't meant to be pushed and abused as you say.

Dealer prices are so high in part because of idiots like this that take their vehicles, beat on them and break them and then lie to the dealer and try to get them replaced under warranty. Thanks for making the prices higher for all of us.
