My New (to me) '03 CL-S... What do you think?
Whats goin on everyone. I just put a deposit down for this CL-S, driving down to houston on thursday to check it out and hopefully bring it home! I paid $18,9k for it, came out to like 20,4 w/ tt&l. Good deal or no? I can still back out and get a refund if I want, give me some input.

Safety Car
Not sure if the 'Stability Control', 'Wood Interior Trim' and '5-Speed Automatic Transmission' apply, but the car looks good and is a steal for $18.9!! Makes me sad that my car might be worth only that or a tad more with Navi!

I feel your pain
I've only got 23K miles on my 6spd, but I've come to realize that it doesn't matter what the resale value is as long as I don't sell it

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback... I actually was about to buy an '02 TL-S w/ nav and 19k miles on it for $20,500. So I call the guys number and he says he doesn't work that day and he'll meet me at the dealership the next day to look at the car. I couldn't wait so I went up there to check it out and test drove it and out of courtesy to that guy didn't try to buy it so I would wait for him the next day and he could get his commission. Well that night someone ended up buying it But I guess everything happens for a reason and my reason is my 6spd... Leavin at 5am to pick it up tomorrow, cant wait!!

UPDATE: My dad drove me over 4 hours to Houston to pick up the car today and when we get there the F#$^IN G@D D@#N BUMPER WASN'T EVEN THE SAME F*$&IN COLOR SILVER AS THE F#@!@# CAR!!!!! I repeated asked the guy on the phone if the car had been wrecked or had any body work done to it and he kept insisting it was in perfectly good shape, no wrecks, no damage, etc. I stressed it a few times and stressed that I was driving over 4 hours from Dallas to pick it up and he said come on down, you'll love the car. Me and my dad both took the day off to pick it up, what a waste of time... When we got there, the guy I talked to wasn't even there, his business partner was and I expressed how dissappointed I was that they would take me for a fool and wasted our day. He gave me a check for gas money after apologizing and we drove right back home. I guess the good news for you guys is that your cars are worth much more than $18,900, and i'm a fool for believing those a$$holes. Sorry for the length, I really need to vent!!!
If anyone knows a good CL-S or TL-S for sale THAT HAS NOT BEEN WRECKED OR HAD BODY WORK DONE, please pm me. Thank you and come again...

Whas it really off that much? I think their is a slight difference in the appearance between the painted metal sections like the doors hood etc and the plastic bumper. It shouldn't be that obvious though. You should have taken some pictures of it.

I think you're referring to the anthracite grey color they have, Chap has one, looks great, this or ABP would have been my choice of colors.
I just took some time to look at those photo's in more detail and the front and rear bumpers are difference colors, on opposite corners, not sure if it is the way they light is hitting it or not on those corners, but there is a definate difference between sheet metal and plastic. The car wasn't produced too much before mine according to the VIN, but it could have faded some in the TX sun, but not that much.
Next time run a carfax or something prior to making the trip.

CLS 6MT Navi
Hi, sorry for your troubles. it seems like I've seen that car being auctioned on ebay numerous times, and never selling I guess. It looks beautiful in the pix. Can't blame you for going after it. Aren't you near Dallas? There should be plenty available sooner or later closer to you. Good luck. PM me any questions, I've had 2 6 speeds, bought them both used. I'm in Austin.

it's pretty typical (especially w/ satin silver) for the bumpers to be a different shade than the rest of the car.
i bet it's never been painted.
