My first post and first race

Im new to this forum, i own a 2001 CLS with Navi AT5, couple days ago i raced my friends 2006 BMW 530i auto. We went heads on at the light the at first i was ahead about half a car then he gained and was just on my tail but then i started to pull away so he was just on my tail till we stoped at 100mph. i was happy that my car can beat his new bmw and im a proud to own a CLS.

Don't mean to step on your toes, but he must not know how to drive that thing yet. One, he should jump out first at a stop. Second, I don't see you pulling away from him at 100, that's when he should be catching up.

Good race though and welcome.

What engine did the Bimmer have? My home had a 530i, not sure what year but fairly recent. It did have a sport package of some sort with the 6cyl (not sure how big) and the AT. I will vouch that it was quick but honestly, I think my CL gets on it harder than her Bimmer did, esp. on the highway. Nice kill and welcome to the site!

I dont think it was the driver that sucked. The CL-S is faster than the bimmer up until 100mph. after hitting triple digits the 530 is faster and will catch up easily

Guys, you're talking about a 530 here. The car has LESS hp and weighs MORE. The beamer should lose every single time unless you're only racing to the other side of the intersection (RWD and possible gearing advantage on launch).
