i wouldn't risk it. it may come out but may make the ding worse...like cause some ripples or something. where are you in va. if you're in no.va, give jim lofton a call. he owns ding depot in the tyson's corner area. the number i have for him is 703 751-4320. but that number may be old. if it is, you can look up ding depot on the internet or call 411. i had him take out a really bad ding i had on my driver's door.....took him about 15 minutes....cost $80. i was very pleased with his work. he charges depending on how difficult it is to remove the ding. he'll explain what he has to do to.

They "massage" it out from the rear of the panel. This way the paint doesn't get messed up. I've had my car to www.dentbusters.com twice!

i spoke to jim lofton of ding depot when i had mine done. these guys don't really wanna explain how they remove the dings. they have to go to some training school which costs them about 2 grand. but each part of the car body requires a different technique in removing the ding. sometimes they have to slightly push it fromthe inside, while controlling the bulge from the outside. honestly, i don't know how they do it....but they have the tools, the training and the skill to do it. i recomended someone to jim who had a dent in his hood right by a groove. you know how our hoods have that groove right in the middle. well, jim was able to remove it and the groove was perfect and straight. i understand you're curious how they do it. but sometimes it's better to just have someone do it.....eat the $60-$80 they charge....and move on.
oh..by the way...when i had mine done on the door...he didn't remove the inside door panel. what he did was drilled a hole on the side of the door and did some "magic" to push/pull the ding out. i was trying my best to watch what he was doing but cuz i'm very curious and protective when it comes to my car but i couldn't see from afar. when he was done, he covered the hole he drilled with some rubber stopper. he does agood job!!!
