My Driver Seat is cracking and the top coat is coming off. Anyone have this? Warrant
I have 7100 miles and the driver seat is cracking to the point where the parchment color is coming off on the left part of the seat as well and the part behind my left upper arm.
This is not normal wear to me. Anyone fought this out with their dealer yet?
(And I only weight 170 so don't tell me I weigh too much )

If you take this problem to the dealer, I'd sure like to hear what they say about it.

Try using Lexol leather treatment every couple of months to keep the leather nice and soft.

MikeS- unless there is very obvious signs that you abused the seat (highly unlikely) your dealer should take care of it. Just be nice- if they refuse, ask that the district Manager look at it. Acura is very customer oriented and as long as you are not just trying to take advantage of them, they will fall all over themselves to make you happy!

it shouldn't matter if you have used a conditioner or not, these cars are only a year old (or less) this should not be happening........especially in a "luxury automobile"

That's encouraging, I take good care of my car's interior so the peeling vinyl is a real disappointment. I hope they are decent about it when I go in. I'm not sure how you fix something like that apart from replacing the seat altogether though.

I just had my car in to have this problem fixed. Both the bottom and top left sections of my driver side seat crack where the leather creased. Told the dealer and they ordered me new botom and top leathers they didn't get me a complete new seat. Picked up the car, after hours and noticed that they didn't do a good job restuffing the padding so it's going back. Lots of sags. They said that they would fix it though so it'll be back next week sometime.

I use the Lexol cleaner and conditioner (two different products not the two in one bottle deal) about every month and a half since we bought the car new. The leather still looks like shit. Cracks everywhere but i guess if i didnt condition it it would look a lot worse.
