My Dad bought a CLK 55.........It is the baddest car ever made PERIOD.
My dad traded in his Jag XK8 convertable on a CLK 55 today. It has 350 hp and 350 ftlbs of kickass torque. The options on this thing are unbelivable. It silver with dark grey and parchment interior. It makes me sick to park my car next to it in the garage. IM AM OFFICALLY JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is one bad ass car, but if dad would have just waited a little less then a year he could have gotten the new clk. I dont know if there is a redesign, but mercedes is supercharging all the engines. Meaning the clk 55 would be a 5.5 litre supercharged engine with 450 horses and 455 ft lbs of torque.

One thing Benz really needs to work on is in reliability. They have lagged behind Lexus, Acura,Honda,Toyota, Nissan,and others for way too long. HP and leather means nothing if its on a tow truck.

Guys, woulda coulda shoulda, the current CLK (and all Mercedes' for that matter, if you can afford it, it usually doesn't matter what kind of reliability it has) is a GREAT car, especially that CLK55.

and the SLK32 is supposedly faster than a CLK55 - (but lacks the torque of the 5.5 - i've driven both and i would take the CLK over the SLK32
*wait the SL55 is coming - 5.5 liter kompressor*

I agree, it is a very nice car. But baddest car ever made, no way in hell. With my money, I would MUCH rather have the M3 and still would probably pick it if they cost the same. The CLK is one of the best looking cars on the road. Very handsome

I can't figure out how to download my pics that I took, so I found a pic that is the same as the real thing. Crazy...., you know about this stuff, how the hell can I get my OLYMPUS digital camera appear on my my computer screen as anothe drive. I installed the master CD, and then everytime I connect it to the USB port on the back, I get a fatal error has occured.......Im getting PISSED. Got any Ideas??????

The CLK55 is nice (whats not to like), though its not selling as well as MB hoped (got this from my oldman's Benz salesperson)...not a surprise since it looks like a CLK430 with different wheels (AMG Aero II's) and its only offered in an auto, for $70k- the E55 is the more popular alternative (because its a 4 door).
