My CT Super Rake Pix - Part 2

First off, I am not wanting a big drop, I just hated the boatlaunch front on the 6 speed. I had birds flying out of there. Wheelgap now on my CT front and stock rear is really close. But following the bottom line of the car you can see the rake more clearly.

I understand many here like it lower, I don't. This car is too long to start with and lower makes it look to me, like a cabin cruiser again. Look at the length compared to this M3.
Thanks for the comments just wanted to show what half a CT drop looked like for those interested in comparing to stock. Remember the 6 speed is higher than the auto.
I'm getting the CT springs on the rear next week. IF you notice I have the silverstar front turn bulbs and I tinted out the front reflector (for now).

To each his own, brother. I think it looks decent, I can tell it's not stock (except the rear). Good point with the car being too long, I had no idea it was that much longer than the M3.

Also, your wheels, although stock-looking, have something different about em. Is it just my imagination? Maybe they're just real clean

You guys are sharp eyed. The rims are 03 TLS rims, they don't scratch like the 01-02 CLS rims do. The lip and the spokes shape is slightly different. Strange that Acura offered 2 rims so similar but different. Maybe that's why the 03 CLS rims were changed, but I think that was a cost decision, painted versus machined.
But I've got my eye on SSR GT1s, coming sometime I hope.

Looks good. Will look about the same with the comptechs on the back. Especially when you are low on gas. Perfect drop for a daily driver IMO.

Thanks Chad. Actually the tank is near full in the pictures. Should I even bother with the CT rear springs if it is not much different drop?

That is a super rake.

Looks good to me. CT Springs (even one pair) are the way to go IMO.

Looks good.

I'm surprised that you were willing to go to the TL-S's 6.5" rim over the CL-S's 7.0" rim. Does going with the 235/45-17 tires do anything to help protect the spokes on the 5 spoke CL-S wheels? I know it does wonders on my 03 CL-S wheels.

_______________
235 45 17 tires help protecting the CLS rims somewhat...but it would still scratch if the curb is too high.

1. Dont park too close to the curb
2. DONT EVER go to drive through car wash

Chaptorial likes it! I looked at ChadT's car with CT springs all around and couldn't see any diff between stock rear springs and CT. I wasn't really going for the rake look, just wanted a subtle drop and to lose the skiboat bow look. Wondering if I should just leave it and save some bucks.

Allout - I bought this car used and the original owner had swapped out for the TL rims.
I prefer them over the painted stock 03 rim anyway but I hope to get some SSR GT1s next. The width is no problem. the TL uses the same stock tires as the CL anyway.
But I bet you see a lot more scratched up CL rims than TL rims.

That M3 has some really dirty front wheels, and the M has such a flat ass (like those asian girls in the Xanga post), which makes it look much shorter than the CL. The only problem with not adding the rear springs is ride difference in front and rea.

Good point about the ride quality, I'll think about it, but I liked the stock ride. THe CT is a harsher over bumps.
On the M3, I disagree. Look how much longer the CL door is, and the overhang on the front, huge on the CL, non-existant on the M3.

I would probably put them on just to have a matched set. The rears are easy to do also. Shouldn't cost much. You will still have some rake but it will be a bit less than what you have now.

It's easy to solve the rake look... throw a system in the trunk and the extra weight will make it sit a little lower

Seriously though... looks good.

Thanks Mr Moderator. I was hoping this was ok to post pix in this area of the forum.
I see my other post on the rake before I took the pix got moved. What are the actual guidelines, or is it somewhat flexible depending on who is moderating? More people look here than there.

For something like this I would say this forum is OK since the pics and the topic are about the Comptech Springs for the CL-S, which helps anyone thinking about CT springs.... whereas the Gallery is really if you're just showing off your car.
