My car is falling apart :(

So... about 4 very shitty sounds emerged from my car yesterday.

First... the car makes a gridning sound about every other time i start it up now.

Second... it is making a farting sound from somewhere... it sounds like its from engine bay when im in car... but if i pop the hood i dont hear it in there.

Third... when in reverse it makes a griding clicking shitty shaky noise.

Fourth... and most irritating... whenever I go over a bump it makes a bunch of chirping noises from somewhere right behind the drivers seat.

Fifth... like 3 new rattles suddenly appeared.

WHY ALL OF THIS YESTERDAY?!@?

I dont get it at all... what do you think is going on? Self destruct mode?

All of these noises have me on the verge of trading this POS in.

These arent QUIET noises... like a rattle... these are loud obnoxious... my car is about to explode noises.

And they occur completely sporadically... so i know if i bring it in to the dealer their just gonna say they cant replicate it.

Um, yea.

Thats just what I want... a 30k car that makes embarrasing noises so I have to drown them out with a shitty sounding stereo.

Ok.

Get some meat on that gangly little body of yours and weigh the car down, maybe that will stop the creaks and cracks. I don't have any creaks and cracks but then again I have some meat on my bones so there is your solution

Is your warranty just about up? Seriously, take it to the dealer. As long as your under warranty, take it back as many times as needed. At least let them try to correct the problems before it gets worse. I had a similar issue with my car. Everytime I went over a bump, I would hear this squeak, or chirp. Took it in, and they replaced a strut mount on the right side. I applied some WD-40 to the other one, and no more noise!

BTW, do you lease?

Soopa,

I noticed two threads started by you.

First this one (My car is falling apart)

And right under it, "New TL-S looks good on the road"

Are you trying to tell us something?

I'm pretty sure warranty should take care of those issues as long as you can show them the problems.

Should have kept your TL. Hmmmm...I seem to remember someone bad mouthing the TL back last year. "What a piece of cr@p, I love my CL, much better than the TL."

I agree. Sell the car, shut down the bulletin board and we can all get back to our lives. PLEEEEASE!

Take it to the dealer and quit whining about it to us...or...take it down to Wayne; get a hotel room for the night in the city and be done with it.

Me too... It's a new day, I can only wonder what new problem I will find today.
I was just thinking last night of selling my car. Taking it back to the dealer every 3 weeks is getting old. Pretty sad for a car that is less than a year old.

I had a rattle too coming from the back end... took it in and they said it was the mounting hook for the exhaust or something. They said they fixed it and after 1 day of driving it started rattling again. Now I am just waiting for my stuff from comptech to fix the problem.

I'm with you guys. I hear new noises all the time. I try to ignore them, resolved to the notion that I'm over thinking the whole thing. The worst noise is a high paced rattle that comes from the right rear strut tower when I cross over lane markers on the freeway(those little dots seem to get bigger every day!). Does anyone else have the rattle when they change lanes on the freeway?

I seem to also hear that noise from the same area.I've been meaning to take it to the dealer and let them look at it.To me it seems to originate from the seatbelt housing, but it's hard to tell when your in the front and the noise is in the back.

I have the rattle right behind my left ear. I think I narrowed it down to the clothes hanger thingy! Check it out!
