I wasn't aware of that.

And when they do start backing up they start going down hill quickly.

It was recommended that I go with an after market cat and that "Random Tech" manufactured a very good one. It is similar structure/material that BMW uses. Almost indestructible - it has a metal core VS ceramic.

Had my 03' CLS 6MT with ALL the CT goodies installed dyno at 305/262 WHP/TQ at CompTech. Boost was between 3.5 and 3.9 PSI. Car has always felt very quick for me. So don't know why you're feeling like your's is down in power???

I assume "full" CT exhaust includes headers right?

Well, at least we know that yours is "up" in power....those #s are very respectable with only 3.5-3.9 lbs. of boost. Congratulations your setup is tops.

Thanx-cls6sp03/ModAddict---My '03 CLS-6MT is equiped with CT headers. B pipe and CT whistles and factory cat (30K) and only 3.5 psi on full boost. Very disappointing performance in 3-4-5 and 6 gear. Hope to wake it up with HBP install. Congratulation on your 305 WHP. Does the HBP install on the blower or the alternator?

Alternator

I needed a larger belt. Instead of the stock 24.5" belt I had to step up to the 25.2" gatorback belt. A few other members have as well.

Ya know, I just thought of something. I'm running the Unorthodox Racing 12v crank pulley. If the diameter of this pulley is slightly larger, would that pump up my boost by 2.5 psi?? I'm gonna check on the Cat. I never realized that was something that needed to be replaced. Maybe I'll get the B-pipe and install them at the same time. Any recommended Cat brands??

BTW, finally got the fuel pressure gauge fittings and put it in tonight. Easy install. No leaks. Anyway, at WOT, the gauge reads 100+psi. At constant 60mph it runs about 35psi. I thought our pumps couldn't get over 90psi.
