Well my first time autocrossing I took my g/f's Civic CRX Si(that's build)(it's a for autocross only never runs on the highway) I ran a 60 second lap. there was about 210-220 cars there. 60 seconds was bad to concider the best times of the day was put down by a Yellow Vette Z06(which ran a 44) and a Blue Vette Z06(which ran a 47). but my gosh it's fun but you have to drive the piss out of that car to put down a good time. because (each driver got 5 runs) and the first 2 runs I'm used to racing 4-wheelers(because that's what i used to do) where I could make up time later(where you plan your passes and plan moves) on in the race. this you gotta stand on the gas from start to finish. my g/f's dad came over to me before i got to run the 3rd run. and said look Derek i want to see atleast a 65 or 70 out of you i know you got it in you and i know the car got it in it.(he puts 55s down in it). then i ran a 64.
then the last run i ran a 60 flat. which i was pretty happy with.
I didn't get any trophy. but I'm suppose to run at the fun run event in a couple weeks. I'm hopeing to catch her dad. If I catch her dad I think the guy that sponcers her and her dad(which would be her uncle and his brother) will get me a ride(because he owns the civic). he owns a body shop. so it has his body logo on it and it's painted real nice. but it's a good running car.

 

Sweet! This winter, me and my buddy is going to beef up his 95 Impreza 2.2L so we can get ready for some auto-x next season. We are going for stock class, so all we are doing is, tires, better struts and break pads. It should be fun.
