"auto down" ( )...you know, when you shift in reverse the side view mirror is SUPPOSED to go down...anyway, i was on a "hill" (kinda, was almost flat), i went in reverse so someone can pull into a parking lot, then when i shifted into drive the car chirped the tires (my brand new nitto555's )...i did not even accelerate hard, i pressed the gas real soft...i guess the dealers gotta fix the mirror, but is this a sign of my tranny going???

p.s. i only have 9,200 miles, and the cars not even a year old yet...

 

Is the little select switch above the power mirror control in the middle position? If not, the mirror won't tilt.

I recall parking on a little incline and putting it in reverse to back up before my trans failed. It shifted in to reverse real hard and then when I went to d5, 1st to 2nd was a really abrupt shift. Not long after that the vsa light came on. After that the trans was pretty much toast.
