my aem bracket broke off as well. when i called them they wanted to see the mounting bracket and hardware to determine if i installed the intake correctly. i did not like the crappy bracket so i did modify it to allow me to tighten it more securely. so because i tourqued the bracket down hard the bracket broke off. they did offer to sell me just the tube which i thought was somewhat reasonable. so if you installed the bracket as directed in the instructions you will definetly get a warranty replacement.

AEM is shit man.. they don't wanna spend an extra 2 minutes making sure there is a good weld there and charge over $200 for a stinking painted tube!

chalk up yet another one

if the pipe hasn't been cracked or ripped open, u might as well use the rubber O-ring and do what i, and others, have done

i urge u to allow the pipe to have some flexibility to it, but it's yer call

check out how easy and effective the ring is...u really don't even need a mounting bracket...

i talked to aem today, they are sending me out a new pipe and a return tag. i had to give them my credit card # and fax a copy of the receipt. they said i wont be charged unless i dont send in the bad pipe.

ruvs, the weld didn't break, the bracket broke right next to the weld.

scooter, is that aem? the install looks incorrect.

uh huh

point i was making was the use of the O-ring to help guard the pipe from the surrounding sheetmetal if the pipe flexed too much side to side...the O-ring does help to stabilize the pipe from overshifting as well
