every generation of car geneally adds additional weight from more accesories and safty features and such
so geneally a need for a bigger engine with each generation
but also having those two extra doors adds quite a bit of weight too, which does not help ethier

3.5 TL, as in the 3rd gen TL-S? It should be quicker then the CL.
The regular 3rd gen 3.2 TL vs the CL-S should be neck and neck, the CL may edge the TL out though due to weight (04 TL 6MT, 3482; 03 CL-S6, 3446).

3rd gen tl will not beat my cl-s...my wife has it and it sucks...i haven't had the opportunity to race a 3rd gen tl-s...i'm sure it will blow my doors off though...i also would like to see the cl-s vs. the new 4th gen. tl

Wait, I thought all 3g TL's were 3.5, that's just the TL-S?
and the guy I used to work with who told me his car was "better" bought a base model, no Type S. Said he spent like 30k on it... lol, maybe that's why he lied to me?

Only the 07-08 TL-S had the 3.5l. All others were 3.2. $30k sounds about right for a base model, as long as it was new.

Well he got like an 06 or 07 a couple years back and it had less than 10k miles on it.
