Battery is dead. It's the starter that's clicking... try getting a jump-start from someone.... and if that doesn't work, let me know.

Did you leave the lights or radio on while you were washing?

Possible your alternator isn't charging your battery. Doubtful though.

i wouldn't be surprised if lots of '01 CL batteries start to fail by now.

My battery failed last nite went today to goodyear and bought a new one.

Your battery is dead...same clicking noise last night. Jump it and go to Sears or somewhere to get a new one. Got mine for 70 bucks it an Interstate Type 24 or something.

BTW I have a '01 CL-P...batteries fail every 3-5 years.

Have you guys ever thought of using a portable MP3 or CD player? I usually throw my MiniDisc player in my pocket and put on a pair of headphones when I clean my car and want some tunes to go along ...

A boombox might work too.

I try not to run anything off of the battery for longer than a few minutes so I dont do anything like kill the battery (I've done it a few times in older cars).

You also might want to consider buying one of those jumpstart batteries just incase this ever happens, then you don't need to ask anyone for help you just jump it yourself and run the car for about 15 minutes so you can recharge your battery. The jumpstart batteries only run maybe $40-50 or so for a small one.
