^ Glad you have the mounts man.

I hope you reach your goal with the 26" slicks. I think it'd be easier on smaller slicks since your gears would effectively shorten, but we'll see. What were SAE corrected numbers again? I forget.

I just got off the phone with clutchmasters and spec. I'm trying to decide which clutch setup and aluminum flywheel to go with. The spec stage 3+ kit is rated to about 600ftq I think the associate said and I can use a aluminum flywheel from a 04-06 tl. Part number SA403F $779 and SA40A-3 $559 so the total would be $1,338 list price. They also said they're pressure plate is NOT a oem one painted lol.

The clutchmasters stage 3 setup is rated to about 430ftq. Part number 08028-HDTZ-A and list price of $1,500.

Civicdrivr said he loves his clutchmasters setup and I take his word for it. I just don't know if that will be enough to hold for my setup on spray.

Sonnick I will probably run a different size tire when I buy my new drag wheel and tire setup. I made 279whp and 235wtq if I remember correctly, I'm too lazy to look lol. I should be able to few up a few hp with the new clutch and aluminum flywheel setup since it will be a lot lighter than oem.

No you cant, there is no crank sensor pickup on the TL/Accord flywheel.

Yep. Only the '03 6MT CL-S has both the crank sensor on the timing belt side and the clutch side of the motor.

It honestly doesnt surprise me that SPEC wouldn't say anything about it, they probably have no idea.

So is this sensor specific the the CL-S6 engine, or the transmission? If I mate an 02 TL-S engine with an 03 CL-S6 tranny, do I need to get this flywheel with the sensor ring?

Sometimes you have to just turn the other cheek and ignore people like jacob. They just want attention, and he got what he wanted. They were warned and kept at it. I don't blame the mods for doing their job. You have to know when enough is enough.

Flame suit on.

Its specific to the ECU. If you run the auto ECU with Richies harness, you dont have to worry about the second crank sensor. If you run a standalone ECU, you wont have to worry about it either. But if you swap the auto sensors on the engine for the 6MT CL-S sensors and run the CL-S6 ECU, youll need to run the CL-S flywheel.

JBlue was banned because of jacobpotroast. Fries was banned for a bit more then that....

I dont blame them for doing their job either, but I think they viewed the situation incorrectly. All they saw was JBlue "attacking" Potroast in the forums. What they didnt/cant see was the PMs that Potroast was sending JBlue (and myself as well). Potroast was too chickenshit to post publicly, and since he was angling to get us (JBlue, Street, Fries and myself) banned, he tried to make it look like we were the aggressors.

I gave up trying to get Potroast off the site after my second (or was it third? ) ban. I tried my best to ignore him, but he would constantly post misinformation. Whenever someone tried to correct him, he took it personally.

Fries was a bit of a different situation though. Yes, he and Potroast had their arguments, and IIRC his first ban was caused by Potroast. However, I do remember a certain thread in Ramblings where Fries went off on a few of the mods, which led to another banning. At which point he made another account. The admins caught him and he got permabanned.

I really wish they'd bring back JBlue and Fries. Those guys really know the CL/TL very well. Fries is silently pushing the limits of the TL chassis and J motor at the track. JBlue may no longer drive a CL (though he mentioned that he is looking for one again), but he still has tons of first hand experience with it and posted invaluable information whenever he could.

Its just amazing how quickly the forum turned around after Potroast was perma'd. We can actually have a proper discussion now without having some idiotic kid come in and make this place a hell hole. It would have saved the mods TONS of time if they just banned him a year earlier when the entire forum was calling for it.

Damn I didn't know all that. Why don't people try talking to whoever banned them and try to get them back? Fries is the one with nitrous on his car also right? I saw that video someone posted of his car making like 450wtq+ on a 125 shot so I was like wth I'll raise my shot up also lol. Does anyone know how much his car made n/a?

Once I get my new clutch and aluminum flywheel I'll finally be able to go on the dyno again for new numbers and see what I'm putting down on spray. Of coarse after I break the clutch in haha.

Its mainly Street and myself that keep trying to get them back, but the mods/admins won't listen to us. We'd need the entire 2G side backing us and we can't organize that without starting a thread, which will inevitably be deleted.

Yeah, it's mainly the CL side with the knowledgeable info and performance stuff. I don't really venture anywhere else.

We are the rare few still keeping the 2g's alive...I like it this way though.

Oh okay now I understand. I will have to admit I've learned a lot of info on this forum from you guys about my cl. I like basing some of my mods off what others have done already so I can learn from they're mistakes and use they're opinion on what I decide to do. Some forums I go on have very knowledgeable people and I appreciate that. That sucks they got banned, hopefully they can come back one day.

I had a little fun today at a local spot a few of us go to play around. I'm putting new tires on tomorrow so I decided to have a little fun with the old ones before I take them off tomorrow enjoy haha.

I also never noticed how much my car squats when I launch my friend clearly pointed that out to me today when taking a few pictures.

Some people say front wheel drive burnouts are lame, I personally think they look badass. I ocassionaly light them up where the ground is nice and slick
I do miss the looks I got lighing up the rear tires in my crown vic poilice interceptor.
I wish the cl auto had a hand brake, the only thing I can think of complaining about in the interior.

OH SHIT! Is the car OK? That looked bad...

We need to start a petition. There are only about ~25 really active members on here, we should be able to get him back. I think Perma is just overkill. 6 months would have been fine.

Agreed, Fries and JBlue both need to be unbanned.

Re: The car -

As Roo said, he did a burnout, there wasnt enough water on the ground, engine bogged, he let off, nitrous blew up the air box. It took out the MAP sensor as well and fucked up the hood.

He popped a new MAP sensor in today and the car runs. TBH I thought the explosion was awesome. It definitely scared the shit out of the girl next to the car (red shirt).

I'm willing to bet he has the nitrous on a wot switch? That's a perfect example why I have mine on a button so I can control the nitrous. Just too low of a rpm for nitrous when it bogged. Glad it wasn't too bad and everything works good now.

Jesus H... I was thinking the same thing as mentioned above.. You really don't need to spray in the burnout box, overkill if you ask me.

And in for unbanning fries & jblue, 2 contributing members of this dying side

Seriously guys i do agree that spray for burnout is an overkill if you dont run a drag slicks... If you do then most likely you will have to. He ran slicks i dont know how you guys dont see it.

Well there's supposed to be water on the ground in the burnout box at least lol. Even if it was a completely dry ground and slicks. Theirs plenty of cars/trucks that can burnout without water, just need the power/torque lmao. The water just makes it easier for some people.

I will have to agree it's hard to hold the car still and burnout on slicks since it's fwd. I actually used to tap my nitrous once or twice in the burnout box in the past to get the wheel speed up quicker. I also would do 2nd gear burnouts for the wheel speed and heat.
