Removing the front bumper cover is not required but some guys do this anyway as the lower airbox is a bit of a hassle to remove .Most likely they forgot to reassemble this part of the car .A few runs at the track are not going to dislodge anything .Have the installer recheck his work and don't mention the track they will just try to hit you with the repair tab .
