okay, I just bought AEM CAI and its getting installed on thurs. I already have HKS exhaust and it sounds awsome. I can't wait to have the sounds of the CAI and exhaust suround the cabin. I tried a 0-60 time but I started really calm and not as aggressive as I would like. Mad cops around but I clocked in at about 6.5 sec. I think I could have pulled 6.2 with a little wheelspin.

Can't really tell from in the car. Sounds same as my car plus a CAI.

I'm sure it sounds great in person but can't really tell on recording equipment.

Is it any louder at idle and at low speeds?

I'm about sold on the exhaust though. I want a deep exhaust that is louder than the Comptech, but I dunno if HKS is actually loud at all. People say it's not as loud as the Comptech.

Once you let off the gas and coasted I didn't hear ANYTHING except wind noise.

 

Bro, HKS sound great, I've been told its a little more agressive than comptech, but I wouldn't know for sure. What I do know is that it looks better. at idle it has a muscular sound, kinda like a burble. Lately its been letting off a pop between shifts like its broken in. I love it.

 

The exhaust is kinda loud under 3500 RPM..I like the deep humming sound when the car is under vtec range..once the car hit VTEC...the sound is fucking sweet ..but i dont think you will notice your exhaust sound anymore

 

That's the CAI though not the exhaust.

I wonder how much louder the HKS hi-per mufflers would be.

 

dude, I don't even have the CAI installed yet, Thats the HKS. So just imagine the combination of the two from front to back. People are gonna hear me comin from a mile away! Does the CAI sound that much louder and at what rpm is it noticeable?

 

Ohhhh ahahaha I mis-read your first post! Yes, the CAI is very noticeeable, in fact it sounds sorta like how your car sounds now. LOL. That's cool then, I guess the exhaust IS noticeable.
