MP90 supercharger retrofitted to the MP62 Comptech Kit
Nice to hear from you...
Nope, I won't be joining in that regards. I have vowed to Jennifer that the 335i will be kept more than a couple of years. Hopely I can keep my promise. Plus, with the enhancements I have made it is a joy to drive; tons of torque with the turbine flow of that inline 6.
However, I am not too far departed though. I recently purchased a new Odyssey Touring for Jennifer and the twins. And yes, the engine cover has come off and I have been looking at ways to fit a blower onto it. I am shocked at how well it handles for the type of vehicle it is. Granted, I would choose the BMW over it in a heartbeat for a mountain drive. But I would not be terribly disappointed if I had to drive it on the same roads.

Very cool, glad to see this occuring. I always felt the M90 would have been a better bet with this vehicle.
The blower will certainly be in a more efficient range to where I would suspect about a 50 - 75 F drop in charge temp at nearly 9 PSI. At that point you may get away with just running it a little rich up top.

This has to be one of the longest lurking periods I know of . .

Glad to see your still around . . . I may have to PM you about the probs we're having Innovative Mounts solving the vibrations problem.

MP90 = 90 Cubic Inches air moved per revolution
The MP62 was marginal on the J32A2 to begin with. The problem is with the rotation speeds needed to generate 8+ psi boost. This gets outside of a decent efficiency range of the MP62. But when the MP90 is applied, it can generate the same boost with less heat applied.
Here is some more of the good stuff. If you look closely you can see the zip tie holding the bypass valve open. This was only a test install to make sure everything fit perfectly. Now it does! I should be installing the engine management, blower, and injectors on Monday. This video was taken today at about 3pm. The car is back to Normally Aspirated now. Check out this link if you want to see the video of the whole thing completed and installed. Post it in your browser if the link does not work by clicking on it. Jim
